We report, you decide

I found it hysterical that even Bill O'rlelly, Karl Rove's personal mouthpiece over at Fox News and the man who is in charge of desseminating The Party's Official Explanation to the righties and fundies, lashed into George Bush, the man who is alleged to be the President of The United States. O'reilly is either pushing what Rove has decided to be the official explantion, that Bush is a weak, indecisive, fumbling idiot, (and we should all forgive him because, hey, aren't all of us weak indecisive fumbling idiots at times? ) or O'Reilly is actually giving his own opinion for once. Myself, I think George, alleged President of the US and in-fact-President of Iraq, acted deliberately by his inaction, in an attempt to push his "faith based" horse manure. So I was thinking, what the heck, let's honor Fox News with a Fair and Balanced poll on the subject.

It was the fault of the liberals...and the Environazis...

And the Democrats who can't accept responsibility for their decades of bumbling ineptitude culminating in this.

Republican presidents are not responsible for Hurricanes and idiots who refuse to follow manditory evacuation orders.

I was saddened to see that Rank Incompetence was not one of the options. I suppose that could be filed under "bumbling fool". I heard O'riellly's "Radio Factor" last night, and, after expecting the usual excuse making for this error-prone Misadministration, was really quite surprised at his vitriolic treatment of Bush's underlings. He repeatedly called Bush "weak", and "not a strong leader", a "reactor, not a proactor", but he stopped short of the magic "I" word - Incompetent. Perhaps the right is preparing to throw Bush to the wolves. I think the man is a disaster.

Imagine, if only for a second if BHD was able to back that up with facts and links. Hehe. I know it won't happen, but it's fun to image. Just like it would have been fun to imagine that he won the lotto and stayed away.

It was BUSH that said NO the ACoE to make repairs. It was the LEVEE failure that caused the FLOODING.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... read a little.

The right will argue that no amount of levy repair during Bush's tenure would have prevented this. There all over talk radio with this. They say the repairs would have needed to be started 10, 20 years ago. There may be some truth to this, but I've also read that the part that breached had been shoddily repaired recently, w/o the time or funds to add reinforcement.

Likewise, signing the Kyoto treaty would not have prevented Katrina. Nonetheless, Bush's policy decisions reflect his minimal concern with the power of natural forces. The mindset he champions regards nature as something to be conquered and used, used, and used again for PROFIT, the noblest of all endeavors.
