Thumbs up U2 still rocks!

Went to the U2 concert last night at Staples Center.

It was umm....not cheap but well worth it. They still have a ton of energy which I think is cool after playing for so long. It was also Larry's birthday and they all wore "The Larry Mullen Band" t-shirts.

They even let a girl band up on the stage and they ripped up "Out of Control"
That alone was very cool. The lead singer seemed like she was in shock but I guess that's what happens when you're on the spot to sing for 20,000 people

I'm not a U2 fan........and I never listen to Bruce Sprinstien any longer....

they want to be political loudmouths then they lose my patronage.

I go for the music cause they do put on a great show.

Nonetheless, I understand you have to play the politics game to get real results and he has. I believe Bono's intentions are genuinely humanitarian. I'll leave it at that.

I have more respect for an artist who keeps their politics to themselves....

I'm funny about that....I actually liked Brue Sprinstien before his stunt last election.....but that cost him my support and a lot of others who think like me.

I dig U2... I kind of admire Bono's commitment to his causes, and I always thought he did a good job of pursuing those commitments in a non-partisan way. It seemed he was just as aggressive with Clinton as he was with Bush to get funding for Aids in Africa.

Anyway, I digress... yes, U2 still rocks!

That's how I feel about John Mellencamp. I want to like the guy but he's a little bit full of it.
