YOu beat me to it. In fact, I commented to my friends today that out of all the national holidays, this one seems to be the least celebrated one in my humble opinion.

Here's to you guys(and gals)!

If it wasn't for our vets and their sacrafices we would be celibrating the Quees Birthday...or that of the emporer of Japan or that of Adolf...

Their supreme sacrafices allow us the freedoms we all enjoy today.

Hats off and Salute to our veterans.

I think its getting better when I walked out of the party store tonight a guy handed me a six of Sam Light and said I noticed you license plate (vet plate) and thanks, the store clerk told him what i liked. I think that was pretty darn awesome. and touching sniff sniff.

I remember whenever I was traveling with my family my dad bought every uniformed troop a beer in every airport, every time.

I've done that, too. Didn't do it until I reached old-fart status. When I was young and a vet I didn't think it was a big deal. The older I get the more sentimental, I guess.

Have a beer on me, Medmech. And all of you Tommy and Tommie Atkins I don't know and never will. I wish I could buy it in person. And to you, silent in your earthen grave or oceans deep, my honest, unpayable debt.

How come us veterans have to work on Veteran's Day, but any ol' government employee gets the day off with pay?
