Sort of a spin-off from the "Driving Across America" thread.
The "places" can be towns, buildings or any other man made structures or natural wonders.
Here is one place that I'll mention. The place I live-El Mirage, Cal. If you like fast cars this is the place. Southern Cal. Timing Association runs time trials on the dry lake. Are you an entertainment buff?¿ Almost every week there is some kind of production crew here. You want quite?¿ This is the desert :-)
