The crap is stackin up. I am loasing track too fast, and it isn't that pretty. The stuff is startin to hit the fan.

You name it, it is hitting the fan. I am trying to balance school, social life, 2 different small business's, sports, and most of all MY WELL BEING... Im just not getting it done anymore. And the problem is I keep getting further and further behind. It really sucks. Hell, I am 18, a business entrepeneur, and trying to be a friend to all. I think that the hardest part is coming home, and having no time to do anything but homework, which is just a major pisser. I am on my golf team, and I try to make it to atleast one practice a week, which isn't happening. I get bothered at the golf course, as both of my business's require constant maintainence, and somtimes I just don't have the time to put in. I will be playing golf, and whelping people out because I decided that I could be more productive if I had a blackberry and a treo. So, there I am on my time, doing what no other teeneger at my school does. I own two small companies, one of which is an insurance company, and one is a computer repair service. And quite honestly, it is really starting to take a toll, as I am getting people to call my cell which is also my business line, so even as I am typing this, I am helping someone.

I think I am just out of my mind, trying to do more than one man can do. But hell, how many other 18 year old kids pull down 65,000 a year??? I need to focus more on school, and less on work, which takes up about 65% of my time. And then there are downtimes when I feel I am out of place by not having anything to do.

Anyways this place has been a good place to come and vent issues. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read this. I am just venting about life.... Hey, all of you guys, take it easy!!! Have a Nice Day/Night!

ummm...I am impressed by your portfolio at such a young age, but I would recommend you try to juggle less things in your life and try to find more focus...you will soon find that such a lifestyle is unhealthy and will take a toll on your marriage and children later on in life...the key to success is not to juggle everything and anything, but to find focus at one thing and excel, as well as being able to spend healthy time with family...

Ok, you are juggling a few too many things at once. As you probably know, you are working too hard. You need to drop some responsibilities in life and learn how to have fun. Money isn't everything.

After awhile you learn to take it easy, with that said I should not be working at 1am. As you get older you learn to blow stuff off a little better.

Your drive is commendable, and it will serve you very well as you get older - if success is predictable, you're showing all the signs. But...you're missing what should be one of the most enjoyable times of your life. 20 years from now you'll look back on the great memories with great friends, not on the hours you spent working, there's plenty of time for that. You've got a lot of years ahead of you to earn and achieve when all your peers are doing the same and no one has time for fun. Enjoy yourself now, maybe sell one of your businesses or reduce your customer base. Alternatively, if the money is so good you can't turn it away, hire staff you can trust to do some of the work, you'll have to do that eventually anyway, may as well learn how now.

Ditch the golf and find a way to manage your customers better. Also keep in mind that the service sector sucks, and the technical service sector is even worse. But if you keep your customers in line you can maintain some degree of sanity. The most important part is when they are calling you make sure that you are charging them for it. Before I sold my company I had the customers thinking twice before they called because they knew that when they made that emergency call there was going to be an invoice it is that simple.

Although it does seem like you are doing well here is the stuff that you don't want to hear. If you cannot maintain sanity with a $65,000 dollar company how are you going to survive when it is ten times that? You need to find a happy medium fast. It may be a stretch but sometimes hiring people will boost your business due to increased productivity.

You have proved that you are an entrepreneur. Now you have to be a successful entrepreneur by having the ability to manager everything you have taken on. The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

No, the problem is that the people above me in one company don't quite do their work. So in order to keep my stuff rolling along, I have to help support their business. I am doing fine at serviceing the consumers from my base, but there are just too many when you put all of the people around/above me that just don't get their work done, and I must fix their problems.

You can't have this kind of stuff going on too long before it takes it's toll. Do the job you get paid to do. Make sure everyone else does too. Make whatever "changes" are needed if they can't get it turned around. In my experience as a manager, I've learned (the hard way) that most people will get away with what you'll let them get away with. Only a small percentage of people can truly be left on their own and still get the job done right. You don't have to be an A-hole, but you've got to be tough.

One thing comes in mind - you need to set expectations and define SLA (Service Level Agreement) with your customers. It is good that you help moving them along, don't make that your priority. Document if "x" from their company is not done, then your part "y" won't either. It may even do them some good if you can show them the documented broken link.

Justin I have been their, when I was 18 as well a couple of years ago. I tried to do to much between school, work, social life, and realestate. I started to burn out and started to do poor at everything.

So I took a breath, stepped back and decided what was really important. I quit a job and put real estate on hold for a couple of years.

Sure I took a pretty good income hit but thats ok. I finished high school pretty strong and become a better manager of my time. Now two years later I am back in the real estate game, going to college full time, and working. You know what? I have good time managment skills now and am stress free and having fun!

Take a step back and make some changes. As Jeff said if a $65k a year company is driving you nuts how will you react to a $6,500,000 one?

Rome wasn't built in a day and multi million dollar empires are not either.
