That hurts.

A moment of silence for that car, as well.

I think its cool, engine bay looks very clean, and theres just a few things I'd change... Minimal cost stuff, but just a few.

yeah, and?

they put an alpine head unit, and cd changer into it, they put on a chrome stearing colum, they got a few toggles on it, and they converted it to manual climate control... Someone made their car their own. More power to whatever hillbilly or amigo who did it.

Plenty of stock examples left to cherish

Current bid is $8,000.00. For that price, if the rest of the car is straight, I'd buy it. I'd think of it as a performance upgrade. How many spark plug's would you have to disconnect to not have it beat the six that was in there?
I wouldn't do it myself. Too much work. But for $8,000.00 why not.

WTF? Not even Fuel Injected? Carb? Well, at least it has enough chrome on it. Chrome adds about 30 HP. Now it needs a few stickers and it will be a screamer. If I had gone that far, I would have had a Stealth Ram with a wild cam in it. Also bored and stroked to 383 with a performance tranny and some nice long tube headers.

And I'd keep the carb setup. A $30.00 module in the distributor is as close to a computer as you need. Sure it's the anvil of automotive engineering, but it's hard to find fault with an anvil for it's function.

In the alternative, as amigo means friend in Spanish, maybe he meant one of his friends would be the type to drive the car in question.

Thanks John! But not in a racist way though. No racism intended. It kinda like 20" wheels with spinners scream a black youth. Yes there is some profiling here

And the anvil was used for what again? And the popularity of the anvil is where today?

I switched out my ATV with an EFI one not for the power but because I don't have to choke it to start. I pressurize the lines by turning the key and waiting for a second then crank. No need to change the choke settings as it gets warmer and all that good stuff. No need to rejet for different altitudes. ECM takes care of the warmup. I can read most stuff on the diagnostic scanner for a car. Why would I want to go backwards?
