Lost keys to locking fuel doors, 2 days worth of fuel left

Ok, I'll spare some of the details since ive only got a few more minutes of lunch break left (work)... The keys for my locking fuel doors are at the bottom of riverview park, and I dont have any spares (STUPID STUPID STUPID, but I do have door/ignition keys)

I need to get into my gas tanks, to fill them. I'll be using my truck (82 f150 styleside, with dual tanks) to get to work... If I dont drive it to school, I have about 2 days worth of gas left in it.

I think they're aftermarket, so I can definetly replace them (provided I get into it)

I dont want to wreck the bed, or the fuel doors. They've got an arm that pulls in behind the opening in the bed, when you lock it.

I know I can get theese locks at work, I just need to open the tanks

Any help is greatly appreciated

tks alot
~Nate

Aftermarket caps means Ford can't help.

Unless you're good at picking locks, go to a locksmith to have them picked or drilled.

If it were mine, I'd try picking them first, and failing that, drill them myself.

Edited: I was thinking you were talking about the caps, not the doors. The kind of lock you're talking about isn't hard to pick, and even easier to drill, since there's no chance of getting crap in the tank.

And you wonder why I dont play well with others...

Anyways I'll jam a screwdriver in there, and see if i can turn the assembly unlocked.

Take a hard piece of steel (bobby pin works well) and put a bend in the end, so you have about 3/32" sticking up. Then "jam" a very small screwdriver in the cylinder, leaving room for your pin. While applying pressure to the cylinder, push the tumblers in the lock until they hang on the lock body. If you push one too far, you have to release your tension and start over. If you don't push any of them too far, the lock will open.

That's the technique. You may find other helpful tips online if you look, but frankly I don't know what to search for.

I think one would find a lot just by searching on "picking locks".
