Mistress, since you live either in DC or Alexandria, based on the comment, is the really good burger place that was located almost under the Key bridge still there? It was on the Alexandria side.

thanks,
s

Not feeling that well today.... :(

Stomach hurts, and I am just feeling overall not so good.

New New Year Project

I bought two 240D s today. One has a good engine with rebuilt trans, and the other is a rust-free, beautiful California car that a rich kid ran out of oil, then wanted to dump, so his roommmate called me and I bought it.

I will transplant the power train from the one into the other, and get a good parts car out of the process. The cali car has very hot ARE rims. Am seriously thinking of selling the car with steel rims and keeping the AREs for myself, dunno yet.

Will keep you apprised.

Roy, ya got some free time? Want to come over to the MB Storage Enclave and pull an engine with me?

If they had those in the forest, I would go camping more often.

Another Friday...and going into the weekend, our local market weather-geeks are, again, predicting another round of Weather-Armageddon forcasts of snow, snow-related snow and snow-melts on top of blizzard snow...who the hell cares anymore...if I can't see the car from the front steps, then I ain't goin' drivin'...just quit scaring the hell out of everyone...give us facts, not guesses...

Anyway, it's Payday, the money will be available to play with by 0800 CT...and I enjoy, FINALLY, seeing the savings account climb to 5 figures...if I can only resist the temptation to go out and buy a 52-gallion diagonal inches of HDNA High-Definition Monster TV for $1,500+... ;)

Instead, I'm heading up to Colfax, then I'm going to wrestle three empty 200# nitrogen tanks into the back of the pickup and exchange them for three full ones - have a nice lunch, then slowly drive back to La Crosse for a perch-dinner and some wine...any recommendations on the wine...anyone?

Pretty much the only white wine I like is Pinot Grigio.....wife prefers Santa Margarita.

Still on the hunt for moving boxes....and changing diapers - lots and lots of diapers. Hoping to get a few more winks of sleep if possible.

From someone who knows nothing about wine except what I think tastes good and what I think doesn't taste good: Fetzer Gewurztraminer.

Is yummy, and the darling wife and I have introduced it to half a dozen couples, most of whom 'know wine' to one level or another. Every single one of 'em love it.
