Looks like new again, finally.

Getting ready for the 2nd Annual Nor Cal Diesel Drive. It's tomorrow!!

Got the SEC out of the resto shop yesterday after the paint work and detail job.

Then I brought it here, and REALLY cleaned it up. Shampooed the sheepskins, cleaned and conditioned the leather seats, washed the car again, polished the aluminum air cleaner, detailed out the engine compartment and interior, cleaned the wheels, touched up the nicks, applied 303 protectant on the grille.

The tires are have dressing on them.

Got another speeding ticket.

The car never looked better. I cannot believe I almost dumped it last year for a new Mercury Grand Marquis.

It is finally back to new condition.

They clean up so well, the older Mercedes do.

I will try to get some pictures at the Mercedes Diesel Drive tomorrow if possible.

I was just locked out of my house for about 30 min. and 40˚ is cold with no coat.:( I went out to check on the soaker hose at my hedge row and my son locked the door. I usually take the keys with me since he's able to lock the regular door knob lock and the deadbolt. I thought I would be safe since I was using the storm door. This time he locked the storm door and I had to break the handle to get back in.:( I guess I need to start carrying my keys at all times. Maybe I'll get one of those retractable key chains.:D

The sad thing is that I keep falling into the same ones over and over again.:o After prying out the storm window and breaking the lock on the window for the second time I finally put a spare key on a rafter in the garage.

A cool and rainy Friday, but it's Friday nonetheless!:vbac47679

I've got my daughter's Me and My Guy Ball for Girl Scouts tonight. I'm hoping to be able to squeeze into one of my suits and not look too ridiculous. It's supposed to be a masquerade theme but she doesn't want to wear a mask or for me to either. DARN! :) Time to get the dancin' feets warmed up for some rhythmless white man dancin'!:dancefool

After three Saturdays in a row I'm looking forward to being off for one. My brother finally ran out of other commitments.

Better yet, take him w/you out to the hose...that way, only the wife and daughter can lock you out! :D

Polyester Leisure suit Swamp? Good luck. Please take photos.

I am flying on Sunday, getting close to my solo debut and after that off to see The Cherry Blossoms at the tidal basin in DC.

KarTek 03-28-2008 09:54 AM

Haven't soloed yet? Geez, how many hours you got? I was a 9 hour solo, my instructor jumped out of the plane while sitting on the runway one day without warning and said: "It's all yours..."

I'm just picking on you... :wink3: You're way ahead of me because I haven't flown in quite a while...

Anyway, I have a car show this weekend at the fairgrounds and I think I'll be using the UNIMOG to rip some volunteer trees out of the ground around the house. I also have tons of ivy to nuke back as it's climbing all over the house. Oh yeah, I need to find a driveshaft for the Chevy too so I can sell it! :D Lots to do as always...

I've never been accused of being stylish, but I'm not that bad! :D

The problem is the only time I wear a suit, well besides once-a-year daughter dances, is for weddings or funerals and who knows which side of the diet they'll occur on. :o Our industry is definitely more business casual so a sport coat, collared shirt and clean slacks are usually as far as I need to go. I'm sure there'll be a mug shot for posterity and am shameless enough to post it when it comes.:)

I just ran out to the bank. Boy-o-boy is the weather nice today! I may move my office out to the deck this afternoon.

Maybe this will be the weekend I put my Sirius dock in Max. I'm feeling lucky, so I bought a lottery ticket this morning, too. Wish me luck!

I heard mid-70' for you guys on the radio this morning. Lucky! Hope it continues with your lottery ticket. If you need any help spending it I'm willing to oblige.

Is it about cherry blossom time?

I should put a dock in my TD, right now it's just kind of wedged in the console with the power and antenna cables keeping it from moving around.

Do you know if the FM transmitter sends the signal from the unit or the antenna? The one in my wife's van always has some background noise and it's mounted up on the windshield with the antenna back in front of the tailgate. If it transmits through the Sirius antenna I could move it further forward closer to the radio one.
