Was going to take the '89 300E for a "MechChek" - but the owner is still OOT with the keys to the thing...I'm starting to wonder if he's really interested in selling it or not...
Anyways, I'm at work, rotting at the desk right now, waiting for tomorrow...I will be an "alternate" for the WI. Republican 3rd District Caucus...so I'm now "officially" pleabed (word?) into the "Darkside" - the farce (P.I.) is all around me... :D Then, Sunday I get to pick up my trailer...some S.O.B. ripped off the loading ramp from my utility trailer and I had to go a buy a new one! As I found out, each ramp is "custom" to the trailer that it's built/attached to. So, I hope the S.O.B. is having the fun he deserves for his ill-gotten gains...dumb ass... Hey, have fun and as a side thought...light a candle and say a prayer for the folks over in Fargo and hope the Red River doesn't crest at 43'...they're still hurtin' since the last flood back in '97...and that one crested at 39.5'... |

I ordered a remote for my camera so I can do night shots and light painting like I have been wanting to do. Other than that, got a Visual Arts Society meeting to go to in an hour.. |
Taking Darling Wife into town tonight to grab some grub and go see John Waters talk.
Saturday and Sunday shall be Weekend Numero Tres at The Cottage for Ma and Ed. Hopefully we'll actually turn the corner and start doing some construction (weekends one and two were pure destruction). Rest, it'll land in there somewhere. I hope :P |
Ah.... Just came it and cracked a beer after uprooting trees with the skidsteer! What a great way to spend a lovely afternoon, creating a healthy forest out of neglected second growth. Got about 20 of those little suckers today, making more room for the pines to fill in.
Did I mention the skidsteer is diesel? Even better:D |

My wife and daughter are going away for the weekend!! I might head on over to the local casino for dinner and some gambling with some family of mine. My son has his friend over so him and her will be in and out of the house all weekend.

CEO is in town. Has been since Wednesday afternoon...
Today is payday. Hoping the envelope doesn't have a "pink glow" to it...  Other than that, we'll see what the rest of the day brings.... |
Arghh got put in charge of a building project. We are putting up office on vacant lot that nobody will occupy -not even going to run phone lines. I am going to put a drive over pit in one of the bays:D

It's pouring down here in the DC area this morning. There was even some thunder and lightning earlier. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear and sunny, though. I'm looking forward to our GTG tomorrow. Woohoo!

Rainy and blech!
I'm awaiting a trailerload of onion sets (onion babies) that was supposed to be here Wednesday, then 7AM this morning, then 3PM. I just got off the phone with the driver now and he's still an hour out. I was hoping to get a lot of shipping done today since we've been holding orders so that we could combine them to save shipping. The boys are going to be busy on Monday! I hate dealing with perishable stuff. It does get the place smelling all nice and oniony, though. And finally, I've got NOTHING on the calendar tonight!:dancefool Might actually be able to have a family pizza and movie night, which we haven't been able to do in quite awhile. Now that Little League and LL Softball practice has started there's generally something day of the week. Quote:

Well, this Friday IS fine. I got another job yesterday. It looks like it will be pretty good. Very high earnings potential, plus autonomy and a lot of freedom. I'm going out with my girl friend tonight to celebrate. Woohoo!

I am still on vacation, brand new sweetie to see. I have just picked up a 1990 560 SEC coupe, smoke silver/cream beige leather, with BOOKS and RECORDS, and known history from new in March 1990 at a Jaguar dealer down in Ventura, CA. Sold new at Jim Slemons Mercedes Benz (now called Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz) in Newport Beach, to a rich old lady, that kept it for 12 years. The story is that it was a barn find, the estate found it sitting in a garage, where it only had 35k on the clock in 2002. It was taken by the new owner, a lady that lived on at the end of Mulholland way above Malibu, who took it to AutoSteigler Mercedes Benz, in Encino (now Mercedes Benz of Encino) for a PPI and full renewal of all wrong and kept it perfect. The old registrations and service records confirm this story There is a crease on the right door, where the old lady backed out of the garage badly, it looks like, but otherwise, the car is a documented survivor. Lifetime So Cal coupe, so no rust; original paint, immaculate interior, needs detailing, but runs out perfect, idel at 650-700, right on the money, turnkey condition, needs a detail, full original, even the Mercedes Benz tool kit with red cloth bag for it, jack, first aid kit, all in place. The oil is freshly changed too, gold on the dipstick, passed California smog 2 days ago, totally stock, excellent original US 560 coupe I think it's a find. I have pic's but not the cable to put them into the camera yet. What a vacation this turned out to be!! The girl is a super sweetie too. So affectionate, amazing. Can't believe how wonderful life suddenly turned out to be. It all happened quick. I am enjoying life at Lake Isabella, the mountain river resort just now. |
