S classes are wonderful road cars!!

Today is free so I am off to meet user name "Jorn" for coffee and convo in West LA in about an hour.

I wish I was home to meet up with you and do the driving tour. We are vacationing in the Central Sierra's right now, between Shaver Lake and the town of Big Creek.

Isn't Jorn a photographer? I am thinking that he is. Sounds like fun, Jim.

He's a great guy!!!! We had a great time gabbing, he is soon to be looking for a wonderful SEC to pick up......

I saw his car, an absolutely gorgeous silver, perfect condition Volvo 780 Bertone, the most beautiful car ever put out by Volvo. Simply stunning.

He is exactly the type of person that would cherish a good SEC in his stable.

Fascinating guy too, he is from Holland.

Payday...yeah!

Any project worth doing is guaranteed to make you pay for it...one way or another...

Hopefully, the piece I need can be shipped in by tomorrow morning at FedEx...

Then...I get to wait 'til FOX arrives to install a new digital-splicer to make all things SD, HD...

OHJOY!!! :D

Maybe by Kickoff next weekend (or Friday, at least), we'll be HD in the Eau Claire area... :thumbup1:

Getting ready for the long weekend. We're taking the travel trailer up to the Elkhart area for a family reunion and some extra time rambling around looking for interesting Antique stores.

There are some wonderful little towns in northern Indiana and southern Michigan.

It looks like the weather will be wonderful.

"Settled" in to my new office at work, staring at a clock that is apparently convinced that, even though it would REALLY like to go on living (second hand tries SO hard to move every 10 seconds or so), life on the other side of 6:41 is just to frightening to deal with.

Bestest friends in the world coming back to MD again for more house painting. Much progress made last weekend:

Yeah, it was late by the time we got the doors we'd made actually hung. Gotta deal with the fact that the double doors are square, but the opening is NOT this weekend. Hoping to finish that, and the barn and house painting by the end of the long (WOOT!) weekend.

Monday is Barb's birthday (1/2 of the Bestest Friends team), so there will be frivolities probably every night, including dinner, drink, music, and conversation at Joanie's Friday, birfday dinner Saturday, and a herd of peoples over Sunday for an early dinner made largely from stuff outta the garden. Life is good. Busy as @#$%, but good :D

Good weather the last 7 days produces good results - It looks like a building now:P What a week - bought two motor coaches this week on a very sweet deal. After lunch it's off to the Big Easy, have a good holiday everyone!

Last regular season homestand starts tonight for out local AA baseball team so I think the two oldest and I will head on over. It's been a long week and I need beers and baseball to unwind.

I've got so work-work to do over the weekend between fall Little League baseball and softball games, the Honey Do list and finally getting my Jeep ready for the auction block. I can't wait to get back to work on Tuesday to relax!

For those headed to Chad's, travel safely and take lots of pics!

I am trying to get the entryway to the house tiled and am hoping I am doing it right! :o

Dee8go 09-04-2009 01:46 PM

Well, the phone blitz was a bust today. Everybody else has gone home. I hope all of you have a terrific weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of you at Chad's house tomorrow.
