Well, now he can make up for that by saving people and their houses.

We got plantation shutters getting installed soon, so I am going to paint all of the window sills, jams, molding, etc. this weekend.

I'd also like to overseed the back yard lawn and tackle landscaping the remaining half of the back slope.

We'll see how my back holds out.

Marching in the Memorial Day parade on Saturday, my son doesn't know if he's going with the Cub Scouts or Little League. Burgers and beers with friends on Sunday. Clean and wax the boat on Monday.

And he can put out your head

I am going to lay low and start packing up some stuff for a move in a few weeks. Taking bigger to the zoo tomorrow. Will do some grilling, but mainly just chilling with the family because I will be out of town for some of next week and the wkd.

Ah yes, the domesticated life is a world of excitement.

Plant a small tree in the newly landscaped front yard, move some old furniture around, and install shelving in my better half's closet. Fun stuff.

Cook out on Sunday with the family. Weather is supposed to be crappy for the most part.

Geeee, that's too bad.

In Southern California, our weather pattern is typical for May:

heavy marine layer comes in at night, blanketing the region in fog. Lows in the upper 50's. Mornings are cool; generally in the 60's until the marine layer burns off, then sunny from about noon on, with highs in the upper 70's / low 80's.

Good Lord, it sure is great to live in Southern California.
