Sitting in the ground floor of three floors worth of pack rat heaven, listening to Ma's O2 generator hummin' and a bubblin'.

After much confusion and fractured communication the doc's decided to send Ma home on T-day, instead of keeping her in the hospital over the long weekend as planned. Ma's mate (Ed) has to work today, so me and the beloved wife finished up holiday festivities with family of friends in CT, got hauled home, loaded up the yada with a few day's worth of stuff and da dog and headed for MD. Amazing how many other fools we joined on the highways in spite of our 4:45 am arrival time

So far today has been trying to find at least some of the fridge, tossing pre-Cambrian food remnants out of said fridge, and clearing pathways between strategic points throughout the house. That and trying to convince Ma that even though she wasn't able to bring home any morphine from the hospital, that doesn't mean she can double up on the oxycontene even if she had been enjoying her opiate induced chats with great-great-grand dad during the commercial breaks.

This is gonna be a long weekend. And not the woo-hoo I don't gotta work! kinda long weekend me thinks
