+6 on the way in this morning, and I couldn't find my dang gloves.

Just got a new project dropped in my lap - involves another division of my company (in CA), a factory in Shenzen, and a boat load of stuff that has to get done by the end of next week.

And I'll be in France and Germany next week .

Spent a couple hours last night scheming with Darling Wife and her twin brother about How To Best Deal With Ma And Ed. While we were moving kitchen cabinets and deploying hardware cloth and expanding foam in our battle against R.O.U.S.

Heading out this afternoon to sell Ma & Ed on the grand plan (involves real estate agents, loan officers, rehab work, slum lords, and exploration of familial boundaries). Should be exciting.

By George, it is Friday. I'm doing a little packaging today, it's amazing how well the machine works with a competent operator if I do say so myself! KNOCK ON WOOD!!! I'm trying to blow a good chunk out before noon so I can catch son#1's D.A.R.E. graduation at 2.

We've actually got an evening free, not sure how we'll fill it yet. But tomorrow is the usual 2 kids in 3 leagues Saturday gameday. At least all the games are in our town this week!

Ahh man, you always give me a good laugh. I am going to have to try to drive top down in single digits next time we go to the snow.

Never. A good EGO stroke, maybe. (notice bold, caps, increased font size and itallics so that doesn't get misconstrued )

chilling at home, taking pictures of every part on the delorean for parting out purposes...

I figured it out. If I can sell the hood for $1200 and the left front fender for $1500 I'll break even. The rest is easy and all profit..

why didn't I think of this before!

Hittin' the bricks when I hit on this post...will be picking up a 120/240VAC wall thermostat for my mother's condo over in Menasha, WI..

My 'lil bro wants to ride shotgun over there with me on Saturday to help swap that out (2 wires and 2 wire nuts...being handled by 2 nuts... ) and wiring in her newly purchased DTV Converter box...yep, my own mother can't wire that in...God help us if electronics gets any easier...I sorry...my mother raised 6 kids, none ended up doing hard time and she's flustered by 2 cables and a wallwart...I'm in the wrong business...

I'll buy her another dinner and just make sure there's only 1 remote control she has to worry about in her future...

Hey you guys...stay warm this weekend...we're suppose to be getting -19° F. temps again...according to our local Weather-Armageddon-Storm-Watch-Panic (WASWAP) TV/Radio Teams...

I wish there was some sort of Weather-Accuracy-Strip-Poker game they could be forced to play...for every degree off from their predictions, they'd have to remove an article of clothing...starting with their panic-casts on Thursday afternoon and ending when they were completely naked or when the clock struck Midnight at the cusp of Sunday/Monday...then the opening-credit shot of their stripped-down body is used all week long 'til the next Thursday's afternoon weather-cast...

I wonder how accurate they'd start to become...or at least quit pulling facts and figures from the area that's soon to be exposed...

GAWD...I'd make a terrible program producer...at least from the participants' POV!!!

Sitting at Heathrow waiting for my flight HOME. Only been on the road since Sunday afternoon, but it feels like forever this time - probably something to do with the fact that this trip followed that last trip after only 4 days at home.....

Digesting news from the company that includes a planned shut down each of the next three quarters (take a week's vacation if ya got it, it's a week without pay if you don't), cancellation of merit reviews for this calendar year, and suspension of company contributions to 401k plans. Given the general economic mess, and the number of friends and former coworkers I know that are now or will be soon out of work, trying to remember it could be worse. Much worse. That, and trying to remember that time off without pay is easier to recover from than a pay cut.......

Points to the company for directing the pain first to the upper echelon - directors and above don't accrue vacation, so each shut down is without pay for those folks; their bonus plan has been frozen, and veeps up are taking pay cuts.

Looking forward to seeing the row houses Darling Wife and her twin partner in crime looked at this week - sounds like there are couple solid candidates in the race to become the new casa de Ma y Ed. And turn the three of us (me, Darling Wife, and her twin bro) into slumlords

Hey Swamp, hope you had a safe trip home. Sorry I couldn't work out coming to see you.

Having 24 year old cars is a blessing and a curse.

Today, I'll be working on more hubcap clocks during the kids' nap times. Hopefully they take their naps today.

Mark, have fun with your family today. I don't know if your idea would make the weather any more accurate but it sure would increase ratings.

Good luck becoming a slumlord Jim, and safe travels.

Shredding Day - waiting for the truck to come and shred 384 banker boxes of documents. Three people have to sign the destruction document before handing off the box - this is going to be a long boring day.
