Maybe that's why so many new immigrants to the US, not to mention people moving from one state to another, are choosing to move to New Jersey rather than California.

Or not.

If I won the lottery, I would move to Jersey. I mean, who wouldn't want to put up with the smell, toxic dumps, and the gregarious down to earth people that live there. Who am I kidding.

Yeah, Jersey rocks, Cali sucks. After all, if Jersey was a country, it would have the world's 6th largest economy (or is it 5th now)? Oops, nope, that's California. Well, Jersey does host the world's premier center of technical innovation, Silicon Valley, rather than that laughingstock, California. Errr, okay, maybe not.

Hey at least New Jersey has the Mob and a governor who resigned for a gay affair with one of his employees! California can't match that!

Right on.

"Since he announced last week that he's gay, outgoing New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey's approval ratings actually went up two points. It went from 43 to 45 percent. Which means, at that rate, he's only got to announce he's gay 27 and a half more times." —Jimmy Kimmel

Last time California elected an actor as governor, he went on to have a decent career afterward. We'll see how this one does, but given the way he's smacking Angelides upside the head in the election campaign, he seems to have made a successful transition to politics.

I do wonder when the auto makers might just consider ending CA sales entirely until the state decides to play nice. Different kind of hardball...

This isnt the first step just another one...
Get the taxpayers money back, by drawing out a long and expensive suit against some of the worlds largest corporations...
Occasionally a company stops for a year, like Audi didnt sell the 06 TT (with the special edition hardtop 3.2 with different ext/int colors and a black upper portion 2 tone paintjob) or the diesels never sell here. Not real significant, Californians are too stupid to understand why any of this, or anything else for that matter, is bad for anyone.

Stop, you're killing me.

Yeah, them wacky Californians some years back put out what seemed like impossibly high emissions standards.

"OH NO, WE CAN'T DO THAT!! OUR CARS WILL BE GUTLESS!" cried the auto industry and enthusiasts alike. Well, they do have a point. Just think, an S600 might do the quarter in 12.0 instead of only 12.3 if it wasn't encumbered with all that enviro whacko stuff.

Whattayaknow, the standards actually went a long way to making LA's air halfway breathable again, and I believe ushered in the ushering out of leaded fuel. I read that measureable improvements have occurred in kids' intelligence since leaded fuel was scuttled: no leaded air pollutants now, or way, way less anyhow.

If we had half a brain, we'd make big bucks by exporting the same technology to places like Cairo which has unGodly air pollution, I hear.

Yeah, maybe they'd voluntarily forgo billions in sales.
