Anyone hear of the cornershot?

I heard they had developed this a few years back.

Now it's here. I wonder how long before urban thugs and gangs get their hands on these.

The GErmans had one back in WWII.

Did not work so well.

I think it is even shown in Saving Private Ryan or in Band of Brothers.

I'll check with my WWII weapons consultant....my 15 yo son!

I was going to add it had a prismatic scope as well, germans used'em during the siege of Stalingrad
Not that effective because of the light grain almost round projectile.

Diffrent attempt.

Germans used a curved berral - which would wear out. this is a gun mounted on a new stock; so it wont fail like the german ones did.

I was wondering what that was on CSI Miami (aka....Mr. Sunglasses). Its effectiveness would seem to be only 25-50 yards due to the pistol having a barrel length of 5" on the Beretta. I guess if there was a Hammerli rig........

The Germans had the same idea but went about it in a different way. The Germans had a curve barrel I think in two stages, 60 or 90 degree. They were often used by tank crews to spray the Russian infantry off there tanks. Because Hitler stupidly let the be built without machine guns. Even with loud protests from certain Generals.
