They're MUSLIMS, what do you expect?

That's kind of crazy...I think your state should just take away their taxi licenses.

The fifth column in operation.
Some around here was chering about the arab riots in France.

Note to self: Don't bring cough syrup when traveling to Minnesota.

When you have lemons make lemonade. If I was a non-Muslim taxi driver in MN, I would capitalize on the situation.

So, how do they know you've not drunk any before ??? You'd still be carring booze.

Hypocrites of the Islamic faith are to be found in every club/pub/boozer all over London and a few more cities across the globe too, confirmed by the limo's and swift entry/exit of robe clad gentlemen of middle eastern appearence.

So...covered head for women next? Only to addresses with non American names? Stopping mid journey, in traffic for prayer time. ( busines appointments )

Only down streets facing Mecca ?

Oh man, when I used to drive cab in Seattle, our dispatchers would engage in the illegal practice of arranging booze deliveries. Washington has, I think, the highest tax rates on alcohol and the only liquor stores are state run.

The dispatcher would say, "anybody want to call a 622 number?" or something like that, the prefix giving you an idea of the location. I did maybe 10 or 20 over the years. You'd call the number and they'd tell you what they wanted. You'd turn the meter on, go buy it, and deliver it. The tips were always good and on a slow day, you get a little hungry for money.

Kinda pathetic though, I mean the scenes you would observe. People already drunk, usually, and too weak to go out and get more. It was one helluva crash course in the perils of drink.

C- Reminds me of Prohibition when the Rum Runners would boat in liquor from Canada...this might be an opportunity for an enterprising soul...

Yeah, and then that person could make millions doing just that and one day groom his sons to be our president. Wait this is all starting to sound vaguely familiar . . .

Aren't you looking for another job? Instead of "Vote for Pedro" we could "Vote For Dee8go." and your slogan would be "A Mercedes in every carport."

Sure, no problemo and if any politicians are caught doing illegal activities they will be whiped (sp) in public! Bring back public floggings..Reminds me of that movie "The Life of Brian."

Interesting.

In PA taxi's are regulated by our Public Utilities Commission just like water gas and electric providers. I'm pretty they don't allow discrimination against members of the public who wish to be provided with a 'public utility' under the liscence by which they are permited to work.

OTOH those in Pgh are independent contractors who set their own hours and should be allowed a considerable degree of control over the work they accept.

Well, I am legally drunk and I want more for the party. 2 options. Go out and drive for some and maybe get a DUI or call a cab for some.

Well, if it is their cab they have the right to refuse service. I also have to right not to step into your cab if you are black, asian, mexican, etc, etc.
