I figured this out by observing a LOT of 911 Turbos, Ferraris, Range Rovers in San Francisco a few years back. I googled it and figured out what 11-99 was but no mention of the "warnings" given sporting those plates. I had my theory answered by a friend who drives a nice F355 Berlinetta on his weekends away from the office.....who ironically wasn't a member but apparently a well known thing.

I wonder if putting it on a 240D is just absurd.

See in this country you can't simply bribe the cops, but you need to go about it in a more classy manner.

In CT we have the gold badges on the trunk lid, but I'm not sure if its the same program.

Very good idea, if I had a fast car I'd sure spend enough time over 100 to make something like that worth it.

I was always wondered why no one was outraged about this. I worked for a guy who drives a 911 Turbo, going 120-mph on PCH and got pulled over, showed his golden 11-99 badge and got of with a warning and a THANK YOU for being a member!

I don't see a problem, I detest most speed limits. They are just another form of taxing the public. There is nothing wrong with a 911T cruising along at 120 conditions permiting.

I say do whatever you can to get away with it, and if you do more power to you.

PCH has a lot of blind corners, is poorly banked and has a lot of slower tourist cars.....so no it's not the Autobahn. Look what happened to the Sweedish guy and the Enzo.......he could have killed a whole family in an instant.

Sounds like a great club; rich a-holes who think money should equal entitlement. Great values to instill in their children.

Seeing as how CHP should be cut from the budget anyway, why not? Good point by itself though.
