How do y'all feel about smoothies......

For those of you who are trying to shed a few pounds I suggest replacing one or two of your daily meals with a smoothie.

Not the sugary kind you buy in a freeze, but one you make yourself at home or buy in a smoothie shop.

My friend and I have been doing it for awhile and I gotta tell you the results are amazing.

I usually make one for breakfast consisting of soy milk(some use skim) strawberries, bananas, blueberries and grapenut.

I am not kidding when I tell you that I go for about 5 hours without food crossing my mind.

Depending on the menu and/or what time I get home, I sometimes have one for dinner.

I don't fell bloated, like with a large meal and have plenty of energy, fiber and vitamins.

Just thought I'd pass it along to all of my MSSHOP pals.

Peace, love and hairgrease!

Real Man Blender

Of course, a $400 blender that can turn cell phones to dust is optional.

Pish posh--all I had to see on that site was amps. I have a gasoline powered blender I got from Hammlacher Schlemmer several years ago

A friend of mine owns a few Smoothie King franchises. When I get one i usually get one from there. I still cook almost every night for the girls, but luxuries like homemade smoothies in the morning just aren't an option anymore.

Always wanted to be known as a "smoothie"

"Under the spreading chastity
"The village smoothie stands . . ."

Oh. Wait. Not that kind of smoothie.

Never mind.

I agree that there's little substitute for HP, but . . . standing next to a two stroke engine sort of negates the health benefits of the end product.

I make a smoothie almost every morning for breakfast. I use a hand-held Braun smoothie mixer. You can pick one up at your local Rite Aid for about $30 bucks.

I make my smoothies with about a cup of non-fat yogurt, about a cup of frozen wild, organic blueberries; one banana, and a healthy squeeze of honey.

Surprising how it keeps my stomach full until noon-ish.

On the few days I have a bowl of raisin bran, I'm running out of the office at around 11:00 for lunch.

This one has never made anything but daquiris and margaritas, so the goal was never health, but I don't like it too much other than as a conversation piece because it is loud as hell!
