Does any MB have the words "Mercedes-Benz" on the body? Or do they just the 3 pointed star emblem?

On your 300D it should say Mercedes-Benz on the crest at the top center of the grille. In the 90s the crest moved to the base of the hood star. Not sure if there's a crest in current MBs.

I believe they are putting it back on the crest. I cant rember if it is on the crest on the CL600 and the E320 CDI I looked at

no i dont mean under the hood or on any id tags, and i mean bigger than just on the hood/grill crest. i mean like a chrome bolted/clipped on logo name. im having this discussion with a guy who swears there is, but can offer no examples. so i was just wondering.

Pretty sure I've seen it, just can't remember where. Maybe the MB sprinter vans?

No because it would be lame. The star is in more keeping with Mercedes style.

thanx thats what i was thinking too. i think the vans just say sprinter. i know the ones i used on tour in europe didnt say "mercedes-benz" on them.

On my moms G500, it says Mercedes Benz across the center wheel over on the back. Not real big, but just big enough to let people know what your driving.

It also says it on the door sills.

It's a sign of pedigree, and brand awareness. The whole world knows what the three-pointed star represents.

BMW, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley are the only other cars that I can think of that also are "nameless." Even Ferrari has its name stamped on the rear -- but I think more for the "in your face" effect.
