Me, I have 2 now for calling out some jagoff posters on here. I have done everything possible to help out alot of folks here. I have sent FREE parts to some. Stay up till 1:00 am when I have to get up at 4:00am to go to work to take pics and mini-diy displays for folks I can help. But yet there are some here who spend ALL their time in OD and fight with everybody, I call them out and bang--infraction. Recently there has been an individual on OD and DD starting crap and insulting other members here. Members that actually help others here. I took it upon myself to insult the major insulter, BAM, another infraction.

Is it just something about me? Because I'm an obvious Republican or what?

I have a one point infraction on my profile that has expired.

I got it for calling a few members who stir up trouble "nimrods".

I wonder how many points I could've have received calling them "numb nuts". I had that one in my back pocket, but didn't use it.

seriously that is not why. you just have to stop short of calling names.

it just doesn't help to talk louder. if a person is being a jerk, calling them names won't help.

helping folks if a commendable thing though.

i have no infractions that i am aware of.

Thanks Tom. If I were to call you Twalmart or Twallyworld, would you consider that insulting? Just hypothetical.

Making light of a person's name, and especially transforming it into a caricature, is an insult. Whether it's offensive depends on the state of mind of the target, but since you don't have that state of mind, you should probably just assume that it is.

fortunately with a name like walgamuth i have little to no sensitivity to such things. i kindof enjoyed the walgamart one.

i am thinking of opening a chain of stores. with a name like that i am almost assured success!

I was under the belief that the OD was just a place to kick around some thoughts....sure there are some intense debates but I personally never see it as a reason for insulting someone...I didn't even realize there was a point system for infractions....jeez lighten up a little....
