Plant Your Peas While Drinking a Guiness!

St. Patrick's day is nearly here. That's the traditional day in southern New England to plant your peas, but it should hold true for you Zone 6 gardeners as well.

Grab a Guiness or two and get your peas planted this Saturday! I spent many a St. Patty's Day afternoon in the garden with my father over the years. Except his taste buds are shot and his beer of choice has always been Miller Lite.

Of course, here in CT they're forecasting a Nor'easter dropping between 4-12 inches depending on which way the storm tracks and how much rain mixes in. Guess I'll be waiting a week or two.

Guess you'll just have to forego the peas, then. Fortunately, there's no reason you can't enjoy the Guiness!

I peed AFTER I drank my Guiness!
And I think that I shall pee again after I drink three more!

Don't you love St. Patty"s Day?

I told my wife that's it's supposed to be bad luck if you don't celebrate...

She said OK, but it's just for religious purposes.
