Man I love this new running hobby of mine

Did you know that running is one of the fastest growing sports among young educated ladies?

The best looking gals I see around the Minneapolis running/bike paths are the inline skaters. For whatever reason, they often wear shorts that leave very little to the imagination.

I used to jog everyday and lost like 60 lbs from it. Eventually though my hip and knee would hurt from it and just wasn't fun anymore.

Sounds like what's happening to me.

My left knee is gradually getting worse. I was using the 25' ladder yesterday and it was painful to take a step with that knee. If I torque it a little (like getting in the car) the pain is really sharp. Time to see a doctor.

Ditto.

Before the twins were born about 3 1/2 ears ago, I ran 3 - 5 miles / day Monday through Friday, and my body was starting to wear down. At the end of the week, my knees, hip, and ankles would ache. Even my co-workers noticed my limping.

I've always blamed having two babies around as the reason for my giving up running, but I'm sure I wouldn't be running anyway.

I've got to do something, though, to keep the weight down. I'm 6'1", and used to weigh 190 lbs. When I was at the doctor's office the other month, I weighed 205 lbs! That's a 15 lb. weight gain over 3 1/2 years...

Old age my friend.

This knee thing is beyond ache, it's sharp pain. Stairs, ladders, getting up from a chair, twisting... 2 yrs ago it was a dull pain I only felt once in a while. Not anymore. Besides surgery, what the hell can a doctor do? PT won't fix it. Maybe I'll look into acupuncture.

I've tried the glucosamine, no dice. At one point it was helpful, but the injury is beyond that now.
