I've used Depenable Auto Transport (DAS). Great co, others here have recommended it as well.

Don't ask Kevin (forum member "Powerpig") to agree with you about them.
He had a HORRIBLE experience with DAS, they damaged his car badly when they sent it back east, he had to have it repaired.

Here is a link about discussion of car transportation companies (from that "other" MB forum a while back...(you need to be a member to log in)

^^^They mentioned movecars.com, Passport transport, Intercity and several others.

I've heard those stories about a variety of other companies -- it's inevetable and unfortunate.

Many of my old car collector car friends have used DAS without a hitch.

Search the archive here as well, DAS has been mentioned by others with a positive experience.

Horseless Carrage and Peerless

Both transport in enclosed trailers and have A1 insurance coverage and are the choice of most restoration outfits in the Northeast to transport customers wheels back to them after a total restoration.

Toyota, GM, MB and BMW all use them to transport cars that are to be used in Movie and TV commercials.

Just remember that some firms take your money and then sub the job out to a slime outfit like Leaseways and you will see your pride and joy on the back end of one of their portable parking lots going down the Interstate weaving from lane to lane being driven by a $7.35 an hour idiot.

On the open transporters, the location of the car can make a difference.
The cars on bottom can get dripped on from the cars above, but the cars on top, especially in front, get more dirt, grit, road filth and possible stone chip damage.
