Cmac--welcome back, where were you hiding you old Berkeley commie?
I've been bad. I've been haranguing a fresh crowd on a site that debate Vietnam and Israel like there's no tomorrow.

My favorite line in that story was when the bartender said to the guy, after he said to his date, "Let's go:"

"Your date's over, mister," the bartender told him. "She's staying with us."

You go girl!!

Yeah Latin ... 5 years of it turned school into a dilemma for me. Today, Iīd look at it differently, itīs actually very methodical, just have to pound that grammar...
German is different, itīs a bi**ch, if you get to the fine tune level of writing qualified essays
I love Goetheīs Faust, there is a side by side German/English version, highly praised. Ofcourse, you realize, itīs impossible to translate it, the translation is merely a discription.

I tried Hesseīs Steppenwolf, not too long ago. I had to quit, because it is so descriptive, I even could get an imaginary īsmellī of the habitat ... it went to the core of my īgut feelingsī.

The best art, whether the medium be plastic or literary always instills a gut reaction.

Isnīt it true. It doesnīt happen too often though.
Personally, I am more receptive to musical art, right after that, visual art. Nature is great too ...

No, not on the car...
But, seriously, as far as I am concerned, you can paint your car any way you please like, that is truly an individual thing.
I honestly don’t remember seeing one like that.
John Lennon did a more devastating job on his Bentley ... in terms of making RR executives decide this to be a hallucination rather then a reality.

Reminds me a bit of a story my cousin told me when I was about 15. There was a total babe who came to our church sometimes, a Jewish girl at a Mormon church, oddly enough, and she told my cousin about a date she had once. She thought the guy was hot and she was horny for him. They go park somewhere and in the middle of the first kiss, he had her bra off. That was it. Too greedy, too fast. "Take me home dude."

Oh, ouch.

Damn, Ernesto, that's some yeoman's duty on behalf of the public. I would HATE to have to watch ugly crap like that. Porno is one thing but to watch some ass run that $h!t down, whoa, I'm not sure I'd want to even look.

I hope those images don't stick in your head and pop up unbidden at odd times. I'd almost need a medicine man for that stuff.

Noe's

That's pretty creepy. I'm very surprised about this. I know exactly where that particular bar is, in Noe Valley. In fact I even went there a couple of times, a few years ago, when I lived a few miles away from that neighborhood. It had a reputation as a "Sports" bar,(full of TVs with sports events going on), a regular neighborhood place...it was right near the J-Church streetcar line, at the very end of the 24th street commercial corridor. Very untypical neighborhood, for SF, always young mothers pushingg babies in strollers, families with children and dogs walking around, students, a pleasant place to be.

That Judge who sentenced the guy is known to me also, she was from the "Piney woods" of Arkansas originally. She likely followed the Probation Department's recommendation when she sentenced the guy. It helped him a lot that he had no "prior similars" and was his first offense

Don't worry, he's pretty tough. Plus, he has a great family and friends too.

You disassociate yourself when you deal with evidence in Criminal cases. The toughest ones are crimes involving with small children, or crippled elderly and handicapped victims. He focuses on the facts, evidence, and obtaining the conviction. It's his job. Looking at pictures like those would be a very tiny part of what he has to do, he is busy with writing briefs, preparing jury selection, talking to police and witnesses, going to pretrial conferences, and dealing with a HUGE caseload. I'm sure he's just too busy to worry about it.
(Except maybe at closing argument or plea bargaining time) In the larger counties they rotate the assignments also, so you don't have to prosecute sex crimes all the time, you can go to white collar crime, narcotics or other units.

Coming from someone whose girl advice was something along the lines of...get her wasted and pound her? I know it's not as bad as this sleazball and his Xanax... but still doesn't show a whole lot of respect in my eyes.
