Time to get out the bike..

Bleh, my last day on skis for the season will be tomorrow. Good news is it's time to tune up the bikes! This year, new Bianchi color tires and new Zipp wheels (if I'm lucky).

It's in the mid 60's and partly cloudy (warm for MN) and suprsingly didn't see many bikes around the lakes.

A lot of motorcycles, even coming home from work last night. People just itchin' to get them out-- but I'd think there's too much sand on the roads left over from the winter. Tomorrow's rain will take care of that.

The human-powered bike is quite commendable, even if you don't believe in global warming...

I used to ride quite a lot when I was in school. Worked at bicycle shops to support my habit. I was always partial to tubular tires on road bikes. At the time, they couldn't be beat for handling, but todays clincher tires are much better than they were then. Rims for tubular tires, however, are much lighter and stronger than those for clincher tires, due to the complete box section of the material.
