Best movie (s) I have seen in a long time!

I have gone to it twice.

Love the trailers, which include: Machete and Werewolf Women of the SS.

Plus a sweet '73(?) Chevy Nova and the climax battle between the '69 Challenger and '69 Charger.

Anyone seen Hot Fuzz yet? It was awesome. Funny and it just got better and better.

The two main characters are the ones from Shaun of the Dead if you caught that. The beginning is a lot of snippy, witty Brit humor then it becomes outrageous and at times pretty gory.
Never takes itself too seriously. Timothy Daulton is good too. Thought I remembered him from somewhere, he was a James Bond.

so tonite we (actully I) watched "who the $#@*& is jackson pollack?"

it is a hoot imho.

it is a true story about a retired lady trucker who buys a painting for five bucks at a garage sale and spends the next ten years trying to prove it is a real pollack worth fifty million.

she brings in forensic investigators etc.

the ART experts all blow her off. no providence for the unsighned picture is the kiss of death.....or is it?

tried to watch "little children" last night

but found it tedious and not much redeeming value.

i finally compromised and ff through to see all the gratuitous nudity.

we watched casablanca tonight

always a good time. probably at least the twelfth time i have watched it.

i always get misty when they sing the french national anthem in "Ricks" over the germans.

a lot of great funny lines in it along with the serious ones.

i noticed in the last scene that both of the cars were 39 buicks...or perhaps the german was driving a 39 chevy. not sure.

cheers

We watched "Days of Glory" tonight....from the looks of the cover it appears to be just another typical ww2 movie, though with no actors you would recognize.

It turns out to be a very interesting quirky movie in French and Arabic with subtitles.

It is about the northern african and central african troops who fought in ww2 to help free france and the predjudices they faced.

It has a lot of fairly authentic looking action.

It is interesting because they were equipped with about four different types of helmets and lots of different uniforms and weapons. Whatever the main french armies didn't really want!

I found it very compelling and watched the entire movie...the mrs. wandered off and played solitare on the computer!

I saw 300 last week. It was great. Very inspiring. It made me want to go back and read the history of the Greeks again.

I have not seen that at blockbuster. I will ask for it.

Yeah, Rushmore was a good movie. I saw it when it came out, and I thought it was hilarious.

I watched Miss Potter last night....kinfof a chick flick but I like chick flicks most of the time.

It was delightful... and apparently pretty true to life.

She wrote the peter rabbit books back in the 1800s in England. She was kindof a liberated woman for the time period but didn't try to liberate anybody else.

Although I like Zellwenger a lot I marvel at the fact that any woman can be such a major star and be so......unremarkable looking.
