What is this "Little Miss Sunshine" you all liked so much? I've never heard of it before here.

Has anybody seen "300"? I thought that movie was fantastic. I didn't think I'd like it at first because of most of it being computer-generated but it was really well-done. I'll probably buy it when it comes out and I rarely buy movies.

I saw "Ghost Rider" a couple of weeks ago and I thought it sucked. It was a good idea but just way too cheesy to be interesting.

i watched blood diamonds tonight.

pretty good. got a little repetitious at times.

just watched "Bobby".

a must see for old timey liberals. kindof gut wrenching for true believers in Bobby as I was.

the interviews after the show were very very good, too.

the final part of the movie contains a song written for it....sung by aretha franklin and a young hiphopper lady who can also sing really well.

aretha is not much to look at but boy can she sing!

Try "The Pursuit of Happyness" if you haven't seen it yet ...

Saw that a week ago. Pretty depressing film, until the end at least.

Emotionally draining but wonderful movie about overcoming the odds. Would have liked to have seen them add a bit at the end of him finally coming to success...would have allowed us to exhale!

I read his bio...the movie is pretty accurate.

I didn't think it was depressing.
I found it rather challenging, reflecting the odds to succeed.
I could feel the rising triumph throughout the movie's course of obstacles.

I agree there is a highly emotional pitch in the story, impersonated by who I think is Will Smith's son. A bright little boy.

I personally, could relate to the movie very well. Large parts of it reminded me of my own path of life.

'Life's a game of give and take'

otoh i watched "grand prix" again the other night when she was not home and loved it agian and i was fixing to watch "lemans" again....but she came home. i am going to bring home "bullitt" soon.

I thought The Prestige was great. Even though she kept her clothes on.
Bullitt! Now there's a great flick. I watched in a year or so ago and I was amazed that Steve McQueen only said about ten words in the whole movie. I love the car chase scens in SF.

Blood Diamond.

As someone who hails from that part of the world, I was pleasantly surprised at Blood Diamond. (Much of it was filmed in South Africa). LDC managed to hold the accent for the duration which was pretty good as most foreigners (from an SA perspective) always confuse it with a Brit, New Zealand or Aussie one. LDC did better than I expected. Perhaps he's maturing as an actor.

Snatch, Lock stock and two smoking barrels. Indeed! Both wonderful fun. I'd rate The Big Lebowski up there with them too.

if you liked the man of few words in bullitt you need to watch lemans. his lines in lemans amount to about as much as this post.

tonight we watched the guardian. kindof slow moving, hard to follow depressing and boring. my wife quit watching when they were torturing the russian guy.

i watched it all and kindof regret it. one of my first disappointing Matt Damon performances.

i enjoyed that one and have watched snatch about four times....a classic.

but i brought home crank a few weeks back and only could stand about three minutes of it. too much noise and jerking around the camera.
