Yeah, I modded one of those too. Only coasted me $40. DPSS or Diode Pumped Solid State lasers have a high efficiency. That's why you can take a standard 5mW laser class IIIa laser and turn it into a 50mW+ class IIIb laser. With a couple hours of tuning My laser pointer puts out over 55mW and can burn through electrical tape, pop balloons and will instantly blind someone permanently.

I'll post a video tonight of it in action as well as my new YAG laser burning and blowing stuff up.

A friend owns a stainless steel fabrication shop. He's got a CNC laser that will burn parts out of a 4x8 sheet .100" thick or more. Spins his electric meter right up, it does.

Wanna tell us which exact laser, and give a circuit diagram of before/after?

I'm good with a soldering iron
