Looking to purchase a W210
Hi,
I am looking to buy a 2000 E430 4Matic.The car has 107,000 miles and looks to be in great condition.It was bought at Keenan Motors and traded-in there as well.We have had 2 1999 E300 Turbo Diesels and a 1999 E430,and they were very good.Since we purchased another business in Connecticut,we are going to be putting alot of miles on this car traveling back and forth from PA to CT.Anybody know how these cars are in snow and if this car is overall a good buy?How much is the cars value.It has 107,000 miles,very clean,gold over beige,1 owner,very nice condtion.

A good set of snow tires and my car is great in the snow even without 4-matic.

Drove my 1998 E430 through a nasty blizzard this past spring. Saw a car behind me spin out, another in front and quite a few in the ditch as well. Mine did fine with 4 snow tires and some diligent driving - no problems at all.
The ESP really helps in the snow, as does the 'W' mode for when you forget how much torque is on tap at the lights.  With a 4-MATIC, it'll do just fine. Heck, you can even tow a snowboarder with an E430 4-MATIC...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_DoRYdJfb4 I've had mine for only about a month and a bit thus far, but I am loving it! Great car.
