I currently own a first generation Canon Rebel Digital SLR camera. That was Canon's first consumer level digital SLR camera.
It is rated at 6.3 megapixels. I am vey happy with it and it meets all my current picture-taking needs. I have a number of other Canon film cameras (and a couple of Minoltas) but I never, ever use film anymore. Anyhow, I was at a local camera store to buy my son an inexpensive point-and-shoot digital camera. Got him a Canon Powershot A550. Not their most expensive camera, but if anything happen to the camera it is not a big loss. Anyhow, while at the store I saw two of Canon's new "consumer" digital SLRs. The Canon XT (8 megapixels) and the Canon XTi. Now I want one! Do you guys and gals know anything about the new Rebel XT or XTi? With Father's Day coming up, I can always give myself a present. ![]() I would appreciate your comments, suggestions. And yes, I would keep the original Canon Rebel Digital as a back-up camera.
