The way I see it, a marriage of convenience (for money, status, big house, etc, etc) is basically a long term contract while prostitution is a short term contract. One gives you access to that piece of tail for a long time whereas the other one is for say an hour. Take Anna Nicole Smith. I'd say her marrying the millionaire was about the same as her walking up to someone and say she will "I need $50 to make you holler. I get paid to do the wild thing.". The contract of one is about an hour and the other a few years and she has to perform certain other duties and gets paid a lot more.
