My #1 item on the Germany-To-Do list:

Take a Nuerburgring taxi - a professional driver takes you in a new BMW at God-awful speeds around the track. Sounds like a freakin' blast to me.

Hmm

I was in Hamburg about 6 weeks ago and it was amazing! Only there for a week, would love to go again.

Make sure you check out the Reeperbahn(red light district) as well as Grosse Freiheit( a street in the reeperbahn, great bars and clubs)

Also the Hamburg harbor is great...the Elbetunnel, the old ships (Rickmer Rickmers, Port San Diego) as well as the massive Blohm & Voss dry docks, where huge ships are always being repaired (and where the famous battleship Bismarck was built).

I'd love to go back, the week I spend their FLEW by. PM me and I will shoot you a couple of good MB parts places. I visited one, but they wanted to take me for a ride price wise for the "Europeaische Scheinwerfen"

Here is a different angle, not seen very often from this side. It shows more of the dimension.

There is a factual tale about it.
For most of the year it is overcast in the valley, as it is throughout most of Germany, but the castle is on an altitude which positions it mostly above the clouds.
Given, the King was sitting on a layer of clouds, in bright sunshine, while the inhabitants of the valley couldn't even see the castle ....

Well...if you're going to rent a car, I would suggest taking pictures of it before you leave with it, and when you return it. National/Alamo is trying to say I scratched paint (which I did not), and sent me a bill for almost a thousand dollars.

That sucks. I just returned a rental to Enterprise & they want to charge me like 400. more than they quoted when I rented it.

I actually will be looking around for an '82 or older G-wagen Diesel.

And the beer girl !!
