I just did not know these cars could go that fast.

My Honda Insight tops out at 108mph. You have to remember that these cars have impressive aerodynamics.

Prius has some speed especially when it gets going. 100mph is not much of a bench mark these days. About 99% cars out there can do it including new hybrids, diesels and Corollas. Heck even a Kia Rio with its 109hp engine does 100mph without much fanfare except a lot of buzzing

I could get my old 73 VW bug to do 100 mph...actually it took a few miles to wind up to 95 mph, then a nice long sloped roadway, to eke the last 5 mph out of it!
