My grass is now growing fult-tilt and starting to look presentable again. I put down some Pennington's crab grass preventer this year, hoping to keep it from seeding itself. I hope it works. I followed that up with Scott's fertilizer with crab grass preventer in it. If my lawn looks like crap this year, it want be for lack of effort!

Dropped off lil' red yesterday to get her nose repainted. Mulling having the pros fix the couple bump outs in the right rear quarter panel ( <---- stupid owner stunt: forgot to bolt down new battery) for $350. Leaning towards keeping the cash and doing a quickie repair myself.....
Been driving Gretel to check out her transfer case reseal (fingers crossed - 200+ freeway miles and no repeat of the James Bond-ian smoke clouds!) but decided to give the mighty Gustav a day of running. Amazing how much more precise his steering is now that he has a) new tires, b) a proper alignment, and c) a new steering coupler that has ACTUAL rubber bits taking up the spaces in between the metal bits! Getting depressed at the thought of more travel to Asia..... new (to me) city, which is apparently impossible to get to from here without spending 32 hours in transit, much of it in a middle seat on a fully packed aeroplane..... |
Currently between jobs, I start a new one soon and am excited! Spring is apparently here but you would not know it for the crap weather we're having. Had snow two nights ago! Not cool. No pun intended.
Cleaned the E550 nicely outside for the first time since winter. Full wash and interior job, looks great again. The GL on the other hand...I will need a full half day for that beast. Hope everyone is doing well! |
studying for a physics exam that is at 5:30. I need at least a 50F on this test and then a 10F on the final to keep an 85 in the class... But I'm shooting for an A

Forgot today is Wednesday...yesterday, spent the morning hours guarding the 2nd concourse at the La Crosse Center against "looky-whos" and such during the setup for the day's concert...ELTON JOHN. Then the news...due to the weather conditions, Elton couldn't fly in to the La Crosse area, so the concert was postponed. This came about 1230. So everything that was flown was brought back down and packed up. All 5 semis and related buses (3) were packed on back on the road to PA. by 1530. I got transferred outside to guide the trucks and buses out the area...so I was soaked to the skin in the snow/slop that achieved a depth of 8.5". I was never so happy to get into a nice, hot shower as I was last night. I was actually squeezing water out of my wallet. My money is spread around the living room like ill-gotten loot from a robbery. As for today...meh...my wrinkled feet are finally flattening out.
But...I'm alive and I'm not suffering any ill effects...or did I speak too soon? |
"B....Hump!" ;)

reassembling my C.
Spent about 2 hours today working on it, and it looks amazing. |
Physics final at 5. Am I worried? Not really. If I completely bomb it I'll still walk away with a high B

I am off for the next three days chilaxing and visiting Hef for Skippy's tranny flush. Then I'll torture the neighbors with a bit of violin practice. Have a good one you guys and remember to step into your greatness. |

Work stuff today, project beginning to pick up some momentum. Would rather be continuing yesterday's diversion.... http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._8138851_n.jpg .... than being stuck in an office, but guess I gotta pay the bills, eh? <<<---- Canuckastanian influence of friend Max who's the other fool in the water showing through in my phrasing :P |

I got Orgasmatron inspected today. Sitting around at work by myself . . . It's kind of boring. Maybe I should actually start DOING some work, rather than just sitting around . . . . |

Though, technically, we weren't swimming since we both had our feet on the bottom. Cunningham Falls. Just outside Thurmont. |
I was going to guess it was Cunningham Falls. I went there once with my kids when they were little, but there wasn't any water. That looks pretty nice.

Bummer about the tennis elbow. Just got back from the pediatricians office, my 11 yo daughter is very sad that she's going to miss her last AAU basketball tourney this weekend due to "poor patellar tracking." According to the doc, her knee cap is sliding out and not returning completely which could lead to a ligament tear if she kept playing. So she's off it for 4-6 weeks and starting PT next week then she'll have to wear a brace. Knee problems with female athletes is a huge issue so I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I guess I was just enjoying my blissful ignorance to this point. She was really looking forward to this last set of games. :( |
