I'm kind of in limbo right now, an ocassional grass seed quote or two. Other than that it's fairly quiet. Which is why we hit a lot of conferences, training and trade shows this time of year. I should start running our 1/2lb. packaging machine, maybe tomorrow. Or Friday. And by then I might as well just wait until next week.:) Usually this time of year I'm checking in and germination testing new crop seed but our trailers haven't come in yet. Historically it was after Thanksgiving when they started showing up but it's gotten later and later every year. |

Got any Laburnum Vossii? or Corylus Contorta? |

Short guess answer is yes. As long as you keep the soil moist, on the acidic side, probably feed it with evergreen/Miracid type ferts and keep the leaves misted so that it thinks it's humid it should do fine. |

Hart Seed Co., we're mainly known for our "retail" packet seeds sold in independent garden centers and hardware/grocery stores like Burpee, Ferre Morse, NK, etc. We've been peddling seeds and related materials from the same location since 1892. Hopefully my generation won't be the one to drop the ball!:) |
Getting a windshield and the Remus box.
The 560SEC is outside in the driveway, getting the cracked Sigla windshield replaced. At this moment the old one has been removed from the car.
The fact that the glass shop declined my request for a Sigla, PPG or Sekurit, which for a Mercedes Benz I'd want, and have given me an XYG windshield in lieu, is of some concern. XYG googled is "Xinyi Glass" and it is a Chinese company. This alone made me rather nervous: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/273/RipOff0273004.htm ************************* Then this Friday I'm down to San Francisco for the day, to have the new OEM Remus installed. Significant because it's the last 560SEC chassis-specific example of one left in the USA. I was VERY lucky to get this. But it's VERY expensive. The Remus dealer near the San Francisco airport is going to put it in. It should be a nice 500 mile trip, especially with the new Remus on it the 250 miles back here Still trying to make it as close to a nice, new Euro as best possible, step by step. The interior and the front clip detailed out very nicely. 303 Protectant helped a LOT!!! http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...musexhaust.jpg http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...xhaustside.jpg |
Hey Jim- that's a really swell exhaust you got there.....
|
Well, Jim, you'll have to put a wav file of that exhaust on here once you get back with it.

Costly but worth it.

http://www.mbcoupes.com/euroconversion/conversion.htm It's the very last new one left in the USA. They guy who had owned it in Manhattan is someone I knew, and who had this one new in the box in his garage since 1998, but never got to installing it in his 560SEC, which he since sold. Now he's moving to Florida, and reconnected with me at the right moment. I had wanted one of these for 11 years. Now it's mine. I will try to get shots of it on the car this Saturday when it is on the car. |

It's already Wednesday again. It's cold here, but sunny at least. Happy hump day everybody!

I'm waiting for my mother in law to arrive and start watching my kids so I can go out and replace my oil cooler lines, motor mounts, engine shocks & mounts, and of course the filters before I refill. If I have time, I'll replace my hood release handle and a faulty door lock actuator. That's probably unreasonably optimistic though.:)
