AT&T threatens to disconnect subscribers who criticize the company

AT&T may immediately terminate or suspend all or a portion of your Service, any Member ID, electronic mail address, IP address, Universal Resource Locator or domain name used by you, without notice, for conduct that AT&T believes (a) violates the Acceptable Use Policy; (b) constitutes a violation of any law, regulation or tariff (including, without limitation, copyright and intellectual property laws) or a violation of these TOS, or any applicable policies or guidelines, or (c) tends to damage the name or reputation of AT&T, or its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries.


This is totally ridiculous behavior on part of this big company.

AT&T kicks @$$! I love the fuzzy nature of the HD channels, it's so much easier on the eyes than a crystal clear one would be. It let's you ease into the picture instead of it...BAM...being right there! It's so much gentler

Why? If you wanted to use their services to do mailing for NAMBLA, what do you think they should do? Anyways, this is a private company. If you don't like it, don't sign up with them. If enough people run from them, they will either change it or go out of business.

The media conglomerates own the FCC. The FCC is a joke.

The funny thing about this is that ATT's reputation is suck, how can you damage that?

It would be nice if other carriers would make it that easy to get out of your service contract. I assume that's a feature AT&T has on the "plus" side.

I've only had Sprint in all the years I've had a cell phone. As long as I don't have to talk to anyone from the company, I'm fine. Their customer service really sucks, though. The phone service is great.

The AT&T broadband I had was HORRIBLE. Days of downtime, crappy customer service. I got so bad I switched to DSL until I moved into house build in 1910 and the DLS would not work there either. Got out of that and bought a brand new place with good copper but by that time I was already used to the cable BS from ComCrap and have not switched back to DSL, yet.

AT&T is also being real anal cavities when it comes to people who have unlocked their iPhones. I'm sure it's AT&T that put the pressure on Apple to force-feed an iPhone update that will totally disable anyone using a 'cracked' or otherwise unlocked iPhone. Heaven forbid people want to use something other than AT&T with those things during the next 10 years.

I'm happy to proclaim that I am AT&T free and plan to stay that way.

I wonder how long Apple will stay with AT&T as the sole carrier for the IPhone? I wouldn't mind having one myself, but not if I have to switch carriers. If I feel that way, there should be a lot of other folks who fall in the same category.

what are you talking about? I have had sprint and they have the worst voice quality out of any service. Not to mention they hung up on me whenever i would call customer service. Att is awesome and thy take care od me whenever i call. Att has awesome service for the mobile phones, so i am happy as a clam.
