I don't pay much attention to who is doing it and who isn't, so I can't say. Since 9/11, though, it seems more noticeable from the right. Look at Sean Hannity. He's always fired up about whether people are saying things the way proper Americans should say them. Or he's outraged that Barrack Obama doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin. That's PC, isn't it?

Sure they would but if the good Watson would be called out, it leaves a lot less room for that. Right now they can call it PC. When he is called out to explain what he said and prove it and cannot, calling it PC is going to be a harder sell. After all, he said it, let him define it and prove it. As long as it stays like it is now, the PC argument holds a lot more water.

All men are equal, but their circumstances aren't. The goal, IMHO, should be fairness. Treating people the same despite their differing circumstances isn't necessarily fair.

I don't claim to have the answer to this huge question, but I don't lose sleep over the oppression being visited on us poor white males. Speaking just for myself, I don't think I have been economically disadvantaged by being born a white American male.

Nope, they would always claim it was a conspiracy, Watson was under political pressure and did so under duress.

Which is worse than what we have? An ambitious mess? Now they can claim he was forced to retract a earth shattering true statement. If called out, IMO, it will be harder, not impossible, to claim that he was forced to throw the fight when he is asked how he arrived at that conclusion.

It would be worse either way and this can never be conclusively proven.

Why not? Again, let him set the rules and have him demonstrate it BY HIS RULES. That way he cannot say he was sabotaged. After that, you can refute it if there are grounds.

You say you can bench press 500#? Show me. Your gym, your equipment. Later on, assuming you do, I can weigh the weights and see whether you are cheating or not. Till you do, it is a matter of "Yes I can. No you can't, No you can't, No you can't, etc, etc"
