Just like Iraq, we have no business whatsoever invading their country.

There are amazing pictures there. Loved the mountain shots. Looks like some good whitewater canoeing there. There were some young Iranian female canoeists who came to Colorado to train this summer.

Weren't the female canoeists conniving, thieving, deceptive, slimy etc.

probably all Arabs are even though race wise no Iranians were ever Arabs.

There is beauty in every country around the globe. Did the original poster throw this out to show how Nicey nice the common folk and countryside is in this particular region??

Can we think of any other regions that have beautiful landscapes and friendly people that we (USA) had to beat back from world domination???

Problem is, the leaders of said beautiful landscapes are sometimes friggin' lunatics and should be dealt with accordingly. I think it's safe to say that US policies are NOT aimed at the common folks of said areas, but their leaders who, believe it or not, have no care for their own natural assets. Only blind ambitions for domination or in this case, religious retribution.

On the Hitler thing, Britain and Russia had been acting as though Iran were a prize to be wrestled for. At one point they agreed on spheres of operation, Britain the south, including their refinery and port, Russia the North, with Iran having a sliver of autonomy in the middle, including Tehran. And this w/o seeking the approval of Iran.

Hitler was opposing both of them. I can imagine a little natural alliance with him is to be expected.
