Just ordered a digital camra!

I'm in the 21st century now!

I just ordered a Canon PowerShot SD800 from Amazon for $235. Bestbuy wanted $229 for the 750, which doesn't have a lot of the features this one has, like a wide angle lense.

I was told Canon's are pretty good, I just need it to take pictures of houses for the MLS which can only host marginal quality pictures. So I didn't want to spend like $310 for the 870 which is probably a better camra.

I also got a memory card for $15, which I guess you need.

Its going to be nice not having to borrow other peoples.

That's a nice camera, Hattie. I've got a Canon G7. My daughter has a SD750 (I think). The software that comes with those is not too shabby, either. The lenses are very good, and their features are excellent.

Hatty,

If this takes regular, replaceable batteries, buy some really good rechargeables. Digital cameras eat batteries and they slow down as the charge goes down. I think we are using Nickel Hidride (sp?) ones. Read a camera forum to get the scoop, but it make a huge difference in focus speed, storage, and flash recovery. Enjoy!

Also, Google has a free download library program named Picasa2. It is a great way to store, edit, and catalog your pictures.
