It is supposed to be 66'--that video is a clip from a film documentary about a Billabong World Pro competition (it was a pre-comp stunt). Much like anything else, the rider claims a world record, but I know a 70' ride was documented last year and Laird Hamilton claims to be releasing a movie soon in which he rides an 80' tube.



Whatever--anything over 20' and this dude is doing a cut back--not going to guess on holding my breath under that curl once it falls!

A five foot wave looks like about ten when you're lying on your face on a surfboard. I can't imagine what a 20' one would look like.

Rec'd the first a many tickets on approximately my 90th day in college on that day. It was funny until seven years later when my bar application was 109 pages long (mostly had to do with different residences).
