My kid asked me why I was intrigued to hear that she likes Beck. Later we discovered it was a generational thing. Neither of us had heard of that other guy.

When I was about 8, I used to sit in my brother's room and listen to Jeff.

My bro had a pair of Magnepan speakers, McIntosh amp and a German turntable (forgot the brand) and it sounded oh so sweet.

Oh yes, the turntable was a "Thornes". Pronounced "Tay-hornes" iirc

If you could see through the purple haze is in my brother's bedroom, you might have caught a glimpse of the There and Back poster pinned on his wall.

Among the others which included, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Alice Cooper, The Who's Odds & Sods and his infamous Lange ski boot poster.

Sorry I gotta confess......I'm a Beck fan bigamist. I fancy them both, don't make me choose. I love Jeff Beck's Ola and Beck's Odelay in equal parts.

It's tough to deny the influence of those Yardbirders though.

I love Jeff Beck! I think somebody also mentioned Gary Moore. He's a very soulful blues guitarist.

Yeah, great reminder ... almost forgot.
There is a live Album from the '70's which is my favorite RT record.

Too Rolling Stoned

Plus there is a rare one called BLT, Bruce, Laing, Trower.
(Actually it says Bill Lordan, ex Procol Harum plays the drums on this one...)
