If he's a "true" Benz enthusiast I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

If it were ME, I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about that.

If it were a diesel, no problem. On a nice SL, I'm thinking not. Never know though. Hopefully I can check it out tomorrow and get some sort of feel for it. I don't know if it's worth getting rid of my 300D for though.

The anticipation grows! To answer a previous post, yes it is just off Sugarland Run. I'm down to only two SL's now.

Now I'm hungry for an SL. Mistress, I know you just acquired yours, please can I pay you twice the cost to have that one? Ohhhhh No... I forgot I need to build a garage for it first...:-)

I found I'm a little too tall for the 107 SLs, the seat doesn't go back far enough. I much prefer the SLCs.

I purchased the "portable garage" for the SL last night. Glad there wasn't any wind blowing. I have become comic relief for my neighbors when I try and put the car covers on when it's windy.

Is that one of those 'Tube & Tarp' affairs? I got a 10' x 20' Garage-in-a-Box from Pep-Boys for $200 last spring. The poly-covering survived winter OK. I added stay rods at the roof area to reduce the chance of buckling but we got hardly any snow anyway. I'm thinking about cladding the frame with vinyl siding and galvanised roofing for a more permanent cover.
Also thinking about maybe adding one of those two-car metal carport kits and closing it in to make it a garage.

Happy Motoring, Mark

So, did the GTG break out last weekend, or is it still on for the 26th?

Happy Motoring, Mark

I might be able to come up... If I come up I-85 to I-95, will I run into severe traffic at the belt line around DC on a Saturday? Is there a better way to come.

I'm not sure where in NC you are, but if you're near Charlotte, take I77 to I81 to I66. Take the hiway 28 exit toward Dulles airport and you're there!
