Angry My brain hurts.

I've been going back and forth with the MVA over the missing registration for my R350 and finally I learn tonight they sent it to MB. The original registration expired 12/07. I have been driving around for the last two months with expired tags and never noticed it (hey I've got like 34987234 cars ok?). No big deal, I renewed it online back on 3/9/08 but STILL have not got my new stickers.

The MVA says "The renewal information is mailed to the address of
record, which is not the address you are providing."
and I'm thinking, "what the hell other address would they send it to? surely not MB," but yes thats who got it. I had to figure this out because they wouldn't tell me who they sent it to.

So I called up MB financial and went round and round with the automated real-like operator where you speak the command of what you would like to do till I got fed up and just kept saying "get me a human!" until her response was "I'm sorry let me get someone that can help you."

So I find out they DID receive my renewal information last november and say they sent it out, but of course I never received it. This is funny because every last one of their damn bills seem to find its way to my mailbox every month without any trouble.

Ugh. maybe the MVA will give me another temporary registration so I dont have to see the new car I'm paying for just sit in the driveway until they get their **** together.

rant over

I've heard that if you get into automated answering loop hell, just yell fxxk Yxx!
I've heard quite a few people get instant response from a human. I've not made any calls lately to a line with an automated attendant, but when I do, I'll be trying it.

Pressing zero at any point will generally do the same thing.

I don't know if MD does this, but in PA I can go to http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/ and renew registration. Then I can print out a temporary card.

When I titled my MB, the clerk misstyped my given name, swapping the A with the I, resulting in BrAIn, instead of BrIAn.

While I appreciate the compliment, I didn't notice the problem until I got the title in the mail.

Contacting the DMV about the issue, I was informed that I could pay $ to have the title re-issued.

I responded that I find a real problem with having to pay the state to correct a problem they created.

They never responded after that, and the title still reads W. Brain....

Idiots, one and all...

I don't think I ever tried that. Thanks for your suggestion!

That's probably not the best way to get the results you want in the long run.

Not always - I've had more than a few opportunities to deal with phone trees where zero nets you a "I'm sorry. That is not a valid selection."

This place: http://gethuman.com/ covers a whole bunch of the bigger offenders... success rate is pretty good on their suggestions.
