HSBC has admitted that it has misplaced 370,000 customer details, which were put in the post a month ago on an unencrypted disc.



The disc was not encrypted but was password-protected.

Here is what I say.

I the mid seventies, when I was in my mid teens, my dear Mom was insisting that I would become interested in what is now one of the world largest computer hardware corporations.

My Mom is pretty smart ... it was tough not to follow suit.

But, I had to insist on my very own insight:

Whatever they are about to invent and develop there, it will eventually come crumbling down, so why even bother.
