89/84 swap is very useful once you learn which button does what. My friends have the idea of taking the guts of an old cell phone and stuffing them inside a calc, but we still haven't figured out how to make it work.

Thats pretty awesome that an 89 will fit inside an 84... Never thought about that.....but back when I was in HS/needed a calc for math like that was in 2003-2004....and I had the "latest and greatest" TI-83+ Silver Edition....those were the days....wow I am old.

However, now I get to play with computers/networks for the next 40+ years at my job(s).... So its all good with me.

TI-83 plus? Sheesh.....that only came out in 99.....I was already outta HS by then. Now I feel old.

I'm still rockin the TI-85, I use it every day. I'm always hitting the 2nd key and the up arrow to make my screen darker cuz the batteries are dying.

Mostly, I use it for converting units and interpolation.

I just took the PE exam last friday and you can't take it in......they force you to use some crappy little casio model. I felt like I was having an affair on my TI, only with an uglier, dumber woman.
