Just got home from the hospital last wednesday and according to the nephrologist there, dialysis is in my near future. My kidneys are working at somewhere around 12-15% now and they sent me home on more than double the amount of lasics i was taking before, plus two more meds, one is a pll and the other one is a foul tasting drink i have to drink 4 shot glasses of each day.
The GOOD news is i finally found a dr. that's taking my pain management seriously, so now i have MS Contin i take once a day along with hydrocodone as a back-up pain reliever. That part is wonderful because now, for once in my life i am not feeling ANY pain. I also can't drive but i don't care.
Anyone else here on dialysis and care to share your stories?
