Unhappy Sad, Dead Merc :(

Both of these were mine, They were both hit by an old couple labor day night. I was ready to get the Merc legal that week and start driving it. It was a 1983 240D. I thought I was dreaming when I saw it

Yes they were parked next to each other, The lady that hit it was doing about 60-65mph in a new buick. She is 98 years old lol. both of the people are fine but when they hit it moved both the merc and the mazda 2 full parking spaces over. Their buick does'nt even look like a car anymore.

Wow......yet more proof of the accidents old people who should not be driving can cause. Tests and renewals should become more and more strict when a person is that old, its just not safe to be driving when you have the reflexes (and eyesight) of a cactus!

That poor W123, innocently sitting, murdered while parked. It looks like it was a really nice car too.

Did the old lady actually survive that? I doubt it.

Wow, those images are surreal.

Really sad to see a merc like that...is the other driver's insurance going to compensate you?

I did not know 98 year old people even drive.

This one certainly should not have been, and likely her drivers privilege will be permanently removed by her DMV now that it is too late.

If anyone had been in the driver seat of that Mercedes Benz they probably would have been killed in a hit like that.

Well, thank goodness it was an unattended parked car(s) she hit, at least. Sad to see another W123 bite the dust, but hopefully you can find an even nicer one to replace it.

The lady walked away fine but her husband had bad whiplash, I only paid $500 for the car. The interior was in amazing shape, at was 100% driveable. The insurance company only wants to give me $1700 for it even though the low retail in the NADA book is $3875. Im having a really hard time finding one in that good of shape for less then $2500.
