I can't open a .wps document?
Hi
I need some computer help. I typed a long letter on my laptop that has Vista on it. I used Word to type it. I then emailed it to myself as an attachment so I can open it on my desktop and print it. My desktop is older and has XP on it. Now I can't open. Help please. Thanks |

Any chance you have the newer version of word on the laptop (Word 2007)? If so, the default formats are actually saved as an xml based document (even if the .doc or .wps looks old skool Word - it is actually .docx).
Either go back to your laptop and save as Word 93-2007 document (.doc) or if you can't do that, you can go here linkie one or here linkie two for tools to open the file on your XP machine.

Thanks for the reply
What I ended up doing is take the laptop to the printer and just plug it in! |
