People that mis-pronounce certain words that I learned in the 3rd grade, like:

libarian instead of librarian.

nuqular instead of nuclear.

kindegarten instead of kindergarten.

Anything that is "hurry up and wait"

Doctor's appointments.

Job interviews.

Repairman visits (after they call and announce what approximate time zone they plan to arrive).

Movies that don't actually start as posted due to the ads and 40 or so previews that are shown before the feature.

Being seated immediately at a busy restaurant only to wait 45 minutes before a server acknowledges your presence...

Drives me nuts on radio talk shows when people say "Thanks for taking my call." Just a waste of syllables. "Thanks," and then proceeding would be fine.

I like the way Ira Flatow, the guy who does "Science Friday" in place of the M-Th "Talk of the Nation" on NPR, handles that. He says, in perfect Brooklyn-ese, "G-head, g-head." (you know, 'go ahead' with the OH and UH sounds dropped)

Something I hear from the servers every day where I eat lunch: "Can I help who's next?" If I wasn't worried that they'd spit in my food, I'd make a crack about it being a fine album just the way it is, and no, I don't think it needs any help.

-Short containers on the tall container capable shelves in the fridge.
-People using my laptop and not logging off from their homepages before powering off.
-Crooked pictures on the wall.
